Confessions
I assumed since it was the week before Christmas that our house would not be shown again until after the holidays. Well, I was wrong. I got another early morning call and yet again was in a panic to get the house in order. It was worse this time because just this past weekend we took off all the cabinet doors in our kitchen and bathrooms to be refinished. All our "junk" is out and exposed. In the midst of the chaos this morning, I have a few confessions to make. I confess that I pushed baskets of laundry into closets and hid dirty dishes under a towel in the garage (dishwasher was full - no time to unload and load again) Pathetic I know! I confess that I raked mounds of leaves, that seem to always find their way to our front doorstep, out into the street. I confess that I then felt bad (or rather worried that the neighbors were watching from their windows and hoping our house sells soon) and I scooped up the mounds of leaves into the trash can. Should have just done that first, don't you think?! I confess that my poor little girl toddled around the house in nothing but a diaper most of the morning with a tangled mess of hair on her head. I confess that I bribed Isaac with a treat to clean up his room in a hurry. I confess that I took my children to Chick-Fil-A and camped out most of the morning. They had the run of the place! Was it all worth it? Well, we will see! The people that came to see the house were the same ones that saw it last week. Apparently they are interested. I will keep you posted!!

No need to confess...anyone who's had to show a home for sale most definitely understands ALL of that!Sounds like you did very well and if these people are looking again, then I'm sure they understand the challenge with two young children! I'm sure they appreciate the efforts!
Sounds like the kids are making out like bandits during this process! I'm surprised Isaac hasn't devised an elaborate scheme to get more out of you...he's such a smart little thing! :-)
I feel bad for putting them through the rush of cleaning the house from top to bottom in 30 minutes flat. I will resort to treats and bribing as much as I need to.
hey whatever works! I hope it sells soon!
