In May, I took the kids to the Markley Family Farm in New Braunfels to pick berries. Just wanted to give the kids this experience. I knew they would enjoy it because it was new and different, but they absolutely LOVED it. Isaac thought it was so cool to be able to pick his own food and almost couldn't stop himself. I had to draw the line after his basket brimmed full of strawberries, blackberries, green beans, a tomato, and a cucumber.Both Isaac and Julia gobbled down almost all of the blackberries and strawberries before we even left the farm. Other than the extreme heat, it was a delightful experience and I am positive we will be visiting there again.
We plan to start our own vegetable garden next Spring. It will be a learning experience for us all! But now seeing how much they enjoyed going to the farm, makes me even more confident that our own garden experience will be a huge success.

Mickey loves the garden. It has been a great adventure for us and one that I am glad that we did.
