We celebrated our lil' cowgirl's birthday Saturday with a horse party. Our house was full of precious little girls and lots of pink and purple. Other than the searing humidity and heat, the party was a huge success.
We started with stick horse relays, then pin the tail on the pony, a horse hunt, and toss the hat on the horse. Then the girls got to make horse and bead necklaces before we had cake and lemonade. Julia really enjoyed having all her friends over. Thank you Hannah, Maggie, Rachel, Kendall, Emily, and of course the birthday girl's big brother Isaac for making Julia's day so special.

| I got the idea for the cake from a friend of mine. She has a cake business and she made the chocolate horses for me. |

| Other than the dirt mound cake I made for Isaac's bug party, this is the second easiest cake I have made. With all my health issues this year, I needed to keep things simple. It turned out cute even though it is a little lopsided. |

| These initial cookies went into the goodie bags along with horse lollipops, plastic horse toys, a bracelet, and a pink bandana. |

| The night before the party I let them help ice some cupcakes. Julia dropped one on the floor so I told her to clean up the mess. I turned around to see her licking icing off the floor. Not quite what I had in mind. |
