Last year the kids and I started talking about having our own garden. We have the perfect piece of backyard for it. It gets tons of sun and won't grow a lick of real grass. We are a little late in the game this year, but we finally got our garden built and ready. We went ahead and bought plants instead of seeds because we are slackers and should have had the seeds in the ground before now. Lesson learned! We planted 3 tomato plants, 3 strawberry plants, 3 pepper plants and plan to add some onions and beans. So far the kids, especially Isaac, have been GREAT about taking care of the garden. He is out there everyday with his watering can watering the plants. Can't wait to eat some of our very own veggies from our very own garden!!! What a fun learning experience for the kids.... and me!
