Had my long awaited appointment with the rheumatologist this morning. The blood work did not show any signs of Lupus!!!! Can I get a hallelujah?! That is wonderful news. The only thing that showed up was something that indicated inflammation. Well, duh?! That wasn't very helpful. So the frustrating news is that there were not any other clues as to what is the cause. So we are back to square one. I did have more blood work done today to test for Lyme disease and Celiac disease. I should hear about those tests next week. My symptoms have worsened this past month and the stomach related problems have become more frequent and more severe. So I am struggling with feelings of frustration at having to start this process all over again. Next step is to go to a new GI since the last one basically wrote me off.

The blessing in all of this is that God has shown me clearly how to appreciate the good days and find joy in the midst of the bad ones. I have been blessed to experience first hand the love and generosity of those around us. And most importantly, it has strengthen my relationship with the Lord. Trials tend to do that. I see God's purpose in all of this, or at least the tiny bit He has revealed to me. God is so good and all Glory goes to Him!
