There are no words to adequately describe what it is like to see my children choose to follow Christ and proclaim their faith in Him. Isaac proclaimed his faith when he was 5 1/2. Julia did the same this past fall when she was 4. We have been talking to Isaac these past few years about baptism, what it is and why we do it. He understood the basics but put off being baptized because of stage fright. We didn't push him, but kept the conversation open. Same with Julia, she initially didn't want to be in front of everyone. About a month ago, we knew a baptism was coming up so we brought it up with the kids again. Gabe went off to talk with Isaac and I sat on my bed and talked to Julia. I don't know the details of Gabe and Isaac's conversation but as I talked to Julia she told me that she wanted everyone to know she is God's girl and she was ready to be baptized! A few minutes later Isaac and Gabe came in to tell us that Isaac had made the same decision. It was neat that they separately decided to be baptized at the same time. What a memory to share! On June 26th, Isaac and Julia were baptized at Northeast Bible Church by their Papa. I cried tears of joy! This was a decision that we obviously could not make for Isaac and Julia. We were delighted to see them surrender their own will to that of God's. My prayer for my children is that they would continue to seek God and desire to glorify Him everyday of their precious lives.
(The video was taken with my phone, so not the highest quality. And seeing that I was trying to actually watch the baptisms without looking through the lens, it is a little shaky. Sorry.)

I have more pictures but my camera card is not cooperating today, so we will have to do without them this time.
**Funny side note: Gabe told me that just seconds before Isaac's name was called to go out, he had major stage fright and tried to push Julia ahead of him. Way to go big bro! Make lil' sis go first! And then when Isaac got into the baptismal he was a bit shocked by the cold water which made the congregation giggle. They forgot to turn the heater on over night!**
