My plans after our play date was to ride to a neighboring park and stop to have a picnic. Quaint, huh?! Only things went downhill from here. Minutes after sitting down at the park, Julia slipped off the picnic bench and busted her head open. Remember, I am on a bike. No vehicle in sight!! I do what I can to clean it up there and headed back home as fast as possible. Isaac didn't want to give up his time at the playground. I just gently asked him, what was more important. His sister? or Play time at the park? In his loving heart he answered that Julia was more important. On the ride home, he kept his arm around her, assuring her that it would all be okay. Awww!!
It is all okay. Julia doesn't seem to need stiches. She lost a little chunk of scalp (TMI?!!), but nothing that can't be doctored here at home. Julia was quite the trooper through it all. Barely cried and even wanted to sit down to finish her picnic lunch with blood streaming down her forehead. Kids are so resilient.
Isaac decided to re-enact this morning's bike ride. I don't know if you can hear him on the video, but Isaac says, "My legs are getting weak" after he pedaled Julia around for a bit. Yep, it's not so easy is it Isaac?!!

Isn't that big open area in your kitchen just great. The children are so loving to each other. Hugs from Ma.
