It was bound to happen

Caleb got his first major boo boo.


Ok, maybe it is not that major but it looks worse in person than it does in the picture. So here is how it went down(literally)......

Due to the abundance of legos and polly pocket type toys in Isaac and Julia's bedroom, we have to keep a gate on their door. Caleb was standing at that gate this morning and Isaac came up to it from the other side. He leaned into it and his weight pushed the gate down on top of Caleb, who fell onto the tile. Lovely! He was sandwiched between the gate and the tile. Isaac fell forward on top of the gate which was on top of Caleb who was on top of the tile. Get the picture?! Ouch!! Caleb handled it well and was consoled easily. As soon as it happened Isaac ran to Caleb's rescue and felt horrible that Caleb got hurt. Caleb has a snarly mark beside his eye, but no other bumps or bruises. Could have been worse I'm sure and I am positive there will be more black eyes and bumps for my boys in their future. Just goes with having boys! Gabe and I have been meaning to install that gate permanently to the door frame. Guess we better get that done, huh?!

Just to show you that all is well (not that anyone needs that assurance) Here is Caleb up and at 'em not long after the incident trying to get his sister's lunch!!
