Christmas 2010

This is the first year since we have been married that Gabe and I celebrated Christmas Eve and Day at home. (As I type this I realize that that is not completely true. When I was largely pregnant with Isaac we had to stay home that Christmas) Both sides of our family live far away, or at least far enough away that travel is necessary over the holidays. We decided last year that we wanted to start having Christmas at our home, then traveling afterward. This year we were blessed with a visit from Gabe's mom for the week prior to Christmas. She was able to stay until Christmas Day. We enjoyed a week full of fun with Betty. We did our usual hot cocoa and Christmas lights drive. This year we visited Windcrest for a change. It was nice, but the stop and go traffic waiting to see the lights was not so fun. On Christmas Eve, we made a feast and invited some of our friends over to enjoy it with us. We finished our night with the Christmas Eve service at our church, a few gifts from Ma, and games. Christmas morning began with Advent and prayer, then on to the gifts. All three kids had a blast of course. It was fun to see Caleb get in on the action this year! That afternoon we traveled to Coleman to see my family. We spent the rest of the weekend there and enjoyed lots of good fun, games, and great company. It was a great Christmas holiday.

Finally, we could give our borrowed copy of Mario Kart back to our friends.

I gave Gabe Lego Rock Band. Boys and their toys!

Julia got a new doll whom she named Julianna and a new horse she named Beauty.

We surprise Isaac with a new bike.

Jared is so awesome with the little ones. So sweet of him to play with Julia, even if he had to sit on the floor.

It took me all day to get all these pictures onto this post, and that was only a sampling of the pictures I took. It was a great Christmas. This is how I felt when it was all said and done....
