Growing Up
Isaac just celebrated his 7th birthday this past weekend. He is growing up fast, faster than I would like. Will I feel this way at every birthday? I am guessing I will. Growing up comes with some new privileges, like very first BB guns!!! Gabe has let Isaac shoot his BB gun from childhood, but is has always been too big for Isaac and hard to handle. Over the Christmas holiday, my Dad gave Isaac his very own BB gun, just his size!!! On Christmas Day, Gabe and my Dad took Isaac out to target shoot. They were out there for about 30 minutes when Gabe came in wide-eyed saying that Isaac had not missed yet. He's a natural! I went out to see for myself and to snap a few pictures and video. Isaac was beaming! He can't wait to go shooting again. Thanks Grandaddy!!!

Oh.. I have mixed feelings about this subject. Here in Australia we don't encourage our kids to have guns. I have never seen anyone here with a gun and I grew up in 3 states. But I think it's the norm over there isn't it? I have a 5 year old and no way would I ever put one in his hands.. However it's so good to read about something different when I woke up this morning! Thank-you and well done Isaac!!
