Ever since Julia was about 3 years old, she would see people on stage performing and say, "when can I be on stage" (She so did not get that from me!!) Last Christmas we took the kids to see The Nutcracker. She was enthralled with the ballerinas and again dreamed of being one of them. We were able to find a dance group that is super affordable, so last week Julia began dance lessons. The dance group's rule is that no parents can stay and watch. So I didn't actually get to see her first lesson, but she was beaming when I picked her up. She is learning tap and ballet and will have a recital in May. Julia's only hang up is that she doesn't want to wear the big tu-tu at the recital. There once was a day when that was all she wanted to wear. It is clear that this is more about the dancing and less about the costume! Can't wait to see my girl shine!
