Julia's 5th Birthday

I feel like I just finished the post titled... "Julia's 4th Birthday". Are these years supposed to go by this fast? I got a little teary eyed the night before her birthday when I was hit with that bittersweet feeling every time one of my children has a birthday. Didn't help that Gabe started singing Stop Time.

Monday morning we woke Julia up with our traditional birthday muffins and a reading of Dr. Suess' Happy Birthday to You. It never gets old! Then after a quick trip to the doctor for Isaac's swollen foot, we headed to Buid-A-Bear. I always let the kids choose a fun outing for their birthday. Build-A-Bear is Julia's kind of place! She is now the proud owner of a cute, pink, flowery bunny named Daisy.

We spent the afternoon playing and watching a movie, then we met Gabe at Chuck-E-Cheese's for Julia's birthday dinner. Again, her choice. When we got home, Julia had a few more presents to open and we ended the night with ice cream sandwiches.

I am pretty sure Julia felt loved on her birthday. She had a great day. Now her sights are set on her birthday party this coming Saturday. Should be fun for all!
