Isaac has always enjoyed helping me in the kitchen,so I thought it would be nice to let him plan, shop for and cook a meal every other week or so. He loved it!! Last night he choose to make "Slurpy Spaghetti". We had spaghetti, homemade cheese and herb bread, salad, and chocolate chip cookies for dessert! Fabulous!! As you can see in the picture to the left, he was holding an onion. Isaac learned pretty quickly what happens when you chop an onion. He said with watery eyes, "I think it would be okay for me to stand WAY over there." He was so proud of himself for cooking a meal(with lots of help and supervison of course)! And I must say, I was pretty proud of him as well. To top it off,he even set the table. Can't forget to mention.... Julia was a superb chef's assistant!

That is so great for Isaac and I bet the food was wonderful! I'm with you Isaac...I'm not to fond of cutting onions either! And Julia...such a beautiful chef's assistant. Now, did Isaac REALLY let Julia assist?? :-)
Well, he was open to letting her help. To be honest, with her 2 minute attention span she didn't stick around for too long anyway.
