Catching Up on Pictures

I haven't been able to post any new pictures lately because our printer (input for memory card) has been out of commission. So I have a "stack" of pictures that I have been meaning to post. Here goes......

A few weeks ago we took an afternoon for some family time. We went for a family bike ride and picnic. I don't have any pictures of the actual event but I do have some adorable pictures of Julia before we left. My sister, Karen, gave Julia two hats for her birthday. Julia has always loved hats (probably because she sees her Momma wear them so often!!) Her hair is just now getting long enough to pull into a pony tail. SO DARN CUTE!! She is looking more and more like my little girl and not my baby anymore. Awwwwwww!

Moving on...... all you fellow parents know what I mean when I say, "When it gets too quiet, it must mean trouble". This eerie silence fell upon our house the other day. I immediately went searching for the "trouble" only to find this......

WHAT?!!! A peaceful moment in the Landes house?! Couldn't be!! Isaac and Julia were both so enthralled with their books that not a peep came from either of them for 30 minutes. Yep, I timed them. It was GREAT!

Little Miss Fashion here is sporting her new look....hot pink pants, bumble bee socks and big brother's shoes. Lovely isn't it?! I am starting to sympathize with my friend, Angela, over picky fashion fits. Oh, and so it begins!!

There are crazy moments around here and not so crazy moments. Lately, Isaac and Julia have found ways to play peacefully together. Julia is finally at the age where she can engage in more imaginative play with Isaac. Some of their favorite things to play is pretending to be cats and dogs. Love to see Julia crawl around and say "I a kitty Momma"! Isaac is so funny. He feels the need to come ask my permission to be my cat. He can be quite a wild cat - Oliver loves it! They also love to build forts, have tea parties, and play house. It is great to see their sibling bond forming, not without struggles, but it is forming none the less. I never had a sibling close in age to play with, so I am overjoyed that they have each other.

Yesterday it was HHHHOOOOOOTTTTTTTT!! Isaac and Julia love to play in the sprinkler, but I guess they wanted a pool instead.

Isaac had the grand idea to fill the wagon up with water to make his own little pool. We have bought backyard blow up pools in the past but without fail they get a hole and it is money wasted. So not this year. They will have to make do, which I think they are!!! Very creative kids!

The last picture I have to share was taken just minutes ago. Julia has had quite a fussy morning so she was having some "quiet" time in her bed with some books. Isaac, in the kindness of his heart, decided to give her all his cars to play with , then his bear, and while he was at he might as well get in with her too! Found them having a marvelous time together in her crib. Of course it wasn't long before Isaac was trying to teach Julia how to climb out. YIKES!! We only have a few more weeks of her in that crib. I want an injury free record for our beloved crib. It has served us well!!

That's it for now! Hope I didn't bore you with the mundane details of our lives. However, I am guessing that if you have gotten this far then you must have somewhat enjoyed your time browsing our pictures and stories!! Have a blessed day!!

How sweet those pictures are. And I especially love Julia's outfit. Hopefully she won't have the stubborn streak that my little girl has. I think that the girls tend to care more about what they wear more than boys do.

We went through the blow up swim pools last summer with lots of trouble. We finally ended up with one that you don't have to blow up and it was only $16 at Wal-Mart. And it was big I think that the 6X16 was only $11. But I think that the wagon works great too!

I always love seeing pictures and hearing stories about your kids! There could not be too many of them.
By the way, I got the pictures of the kids in the mail yesterday. Thank you so much. I brought the smaller ones to work and put them up. Good Pictures!!
