It is with a heavy heart that I write this post. We received a call from my Mother-in-Law a little over a week ago that brought troubling news. After a few initial tests, the doctors said it was highly likely that my Father-in-Law had lung cancer and that it had most likely spread. After a biopsy last week, the test results showed that the predictions were correct. My Father-in-Law does indeed have cancer in his lungs as well as his liver. They will do further CT scans to make sure it hasn't spread anywhere else, then they will set a course of treatment.
For all you prayer warriors out there, the Landes family could really use your prayer support right now. It will most likely be a tough road ahead, but we take comfort in the knowledge that God is never changing. He was our refuge and strength before this and will be our refuge and strength during and beyond this, forevermore. I wrote
this post last week. I echo the words again today.
Ps. 46:1 "God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble"
