Isaac drew this family portrait yesterday. Pretty good, I think. When he realized that he drew himself bigger than me, he said "I meant to do that. It is me when I am all grown up". Of course, Oliver is missing from the picture. Isaac ran out of artistic juice by the time he realized this. It is a rare occasion for Isaac to stop long enough to want to draw or color. He is way too busy for that. He would rather be
catching frogs and chasing lizards!!!!
Julia, on the other hand,
LOVES TO DRAW!!! Ever since she could hold a crayon or a pencil, she has been drawing. She will sit for 30 minutes, sometimes an hour and just color and draw. As you can see she likes to cover every inch of her paper. We bought her an Aqua Doodle for Christmas thinking that would satisfy her artistic cravings while saving us some paper!! She liked it for awhile, but would rather display her art on the fridge. We are having an art themed party for her 2nd birthday coming up. I am sure she will love it!!!
