Today I am 16 weeks pregnant! I started feeling the baby's kicks and thumps last week. Earliest that I have ever felt the baby move. The most marvelous feeling in the world!!! I feel like when I can start feeling the baby move, I begin bonding with the baby more and more. There is just something uniquely amazing about feeling a little person moving around inside. God is SO GREAT!!!
I went to my check-up yesterday and heard a healthy heart beat. Again, the kids went with me and enjoyed being apart of the whole experience. The most shocking news was that I have only gained one pound so far. I gained back the pound I lost last month. Their scales must be off. In my past pregnancies I always gained 3-5 pounds by the 4 month mark. Not complaining - just have a sneaking suspicion that the weight gain will catch up with me in the coming months!!!
I have not been feeling sick anymore!!! YEAH! I am still very tired every afternoon though. Good thing it coincides with the kid's "quiet time". I have also been struggling with the whole sciatic nerve thing. Never dealt with that before now. Other than that I am feeling absolutely fabulous!! I love being pregnant and count it a huge blessing to be allowed to experience this one last time!
Can't forget this fun little tidbit.....the baby is now the size of an avocado !
If you look up at the top right corner of my blog you will see a poll. I would love for you to cast your vote for what you think the gender of our baby is. One month from now we will have the big 20 week ultrasound to find out if our baby is a boy or girl. We have never purposely found out before. We had no idea with Isaac and the nurse and doctor spilled the beans accidentally with Julia. But this is the first time we are going to find out on purpose. I NEED to know for preparation sake and I think it will be good for Isaac and Julia to get used the idea of a little brother or little sister. So don't be shy..... cast your vote!!!I set the camera up yesterday to take my 16 week picture. I had it on the timer and the kids thought that was so fun. They jumped in with me for an impromptu photo session. As you can see we had just a "little" bit of fun!

Love all the photos!! Too cute. Will you tell us the gender??
You look so great!! Can't believe it's already been 16 weeks. Don't forget the I'd love to watch the kids when you need help!!
I dealt with the sciatic nerve with Molly. SO PAINFUL! There were days when I couldn't walk it hurt so much. Well, turns out Kyle Stringer can help you!! Wish I had known that chiropractic care could help with the pain even during pregnancy.
I'm thinking girl!!
I just happen on to your blog and wanted to wish you the best with the coming baby. I have a new grandson and I know the joy you are feeling...
Go see my husband!! I have had my sciatic nerve "flare up" this pregnancy too and he makes it all better!
