I received this in my email today. It may be a small part to play in the big picture, but you never know.... it may make a difference. Read below to find out what I am talking about.....In the News: A fresh political battle over taxpayer-funded abortions is brewing less than one month after President Obama lifted a Bush administration ban on giving federal money to international groups that perform or promote the controversial procedure. Lawmakers from both sides of the aisle are fighting to maintain anti-abortion measures called riders that are added to spending bills to prevent taxpayer money from being spent on funding abortions here or abroad.
Get a standard size red envelope. On the front, address it to
President Barack Obama
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW
Washington , D.C. 20500
Please put your return address on the envelope. This shows that different individuals are sending them, not just one individual sending out multiples.
When: March 31st, 2009
On the back, write the following message.
This envelope represents one child who died because of an abortion.
It is empty because the life that was taken is now unable to be a part of our world.
We will mail the envelopes out March 31st, 2009.
The goal is to send 50 million red envelopes, one for every child who died [in the U.S.] before having a chance to live.
It may seem that those who believe abortion is wrong are in a minority. It may seem like we have no voice and it's shameful to even bring it up. Let us show our President and the world that the voices of those of us who do not believe abortion is acceptable are not silent and must be heard.
