Really, not that sad. We could do without the tube for awhile. Might be good for our family. Any shows we watch we can catch on the laptop. In fact Gabe and I have been doing that a lot lately. We are rarely able to watch our shows when they are on, so we just have make up sessions. What makes that great is that there are few commercials and they only last 30 seconds!!!! So life can go on without our TV.....that is as long as our internet doesn't go down!! Then we would have some real issues. I can live without a TV, but I might go into serious shock without the internet!! Pathetic?!
We will not be spending money to buy a new TV anytime soon because we have other things much higher on the priorities list - like paying off debt (we are SO close!!!!) redecorating kids' room, building furniture for kids' room, and getting ready for Baby #3's arrival. And when we do finally buy another TV it will be much bigger and nicer so we will have to save up for that for awhile.
We discovered the death of our TV today just after I promised the kids we would watch a movie at lunch time. It was just a movie watching kind of day....... cloudy, rainy, thunder in the distance. So we improvised.
With the speakers, it worked just fine and the kids enjoyed an afternoon movie while we ate lunch. I missed the majority of the movie however. I tucked myself away on the other couch and snoozed. It was a great day for a nap as well!!!
