Sea World

My birthday trip to Sea World got postponed because Caleb had RSV, so we decided to give it another go yesterday. Let me just say..... what were we thinking? Half of the world was there too! But to be honest the crowds were not what threatened to sink our day. What turned out to be a bummer is that two out of our three kids got sick. Julia woke up yesterday morning complaining of not feeling well and was running a slight fever. I asked her if she wanted to stay home. Nope, she was determined not to let anything stand in our way this time. However, right as the Shamu show started she got sick.... everywhere. Thankfully it was packed and we had to stand in the back, so we were able to escape quickly before she threw up. I am sure the lady sitting in front of us was appreciative of that as well. Once we got her cleaned up, I asked her if she wanted to go home. Julia shook her head no and went back to watch the rest of the Shamu show. Wow, she is a tough little cookie. So on we went with our day. As the day went on Julia continued to cave and then Isaac joined her. He started complaining of a sore throat and also started running a fever. What is up with all this sickness, especially on days we plan fun things to do? Caleb was a trooper. He had been up since 7 a.m., had a 20 minute nap about 2 hours after his regular nap time, and was good to go. Despite all the sickness, we still managed to have a good time, just could have done without all the fevers and vomiting. But who wouldn't right?! So today we are taking it easy, trying to get well again.

Watching the Dolphins. Julia wanted to feed them, but the line was super long.

Caleb's new thing is to ask a question while he holds his little hand out like this. So darn cute. He was asking, "Where da sishies (fishies)?

Love Isaac's crooked hat! He's so cool!

This is the sandwich I was going to share with Caleb. He ate the whole thing.

Julia and Caleb playing at the Bay of Play.

Carousel Ride - our first

Happy boy

He was a little frightened at first, but once it started going around he was wide eyed and smiling the whole time.

We stopped to give Caleb and Julia a snack. Gabe and Isaac decided to catch a little shut eye. Funny thing is they were right beneath the Steel Eel Roller Coaster. These boys could seriously sleep anywhere.

Watching the Steel Eel

Look at all those holes in his mouth!

Notice Julia wearing her jacket in 80 degree weather. She was fading fast.

More Steel Eel watching.

At the Azul show. So fun to watch.

Julia couldn't hold out much longer. She fell asleep in Gabe's arms. He didn't want her to slumber alone, so he joined her.

After a big day at Sea World, Caleb snags a nap in his stroller. Funny how many sleeping pictures I have from our day.

Not the best quality picture, but this is what the kids did when we got home. They snuggled down and watched a movie. Good end to an exhausting day.
