No Laughing Matter

I wrote a post a few days ago about hurting my back. Admittedly it was funny how I did it, but now it is no laughing matter. I thought my back was healing and put off going to the chiropractor, until this morning. One small move while I was sleeping caused such extreme pain that I broke out in full body sweats and became very pale and nauseated. Let me tell you....that is not an ideal way to wake up. So now my back is completely locked up. If I didn't feel old before, I definitely do now!!! And yes, I will be seeing a doctor this morning.

Thanks for checking on me Angela. I am doing better this morning. After some therapy and medicine my back has "unlocked" quite a bit. I go back to see the x-rays and get an adjustment today.

update: went back to the chiro. today and saw some x-rays. I have mild scoliosis and bone spurs. not sure what my plan of action will be long term to prevent it from getting worse.

Sorry to hear that! Hopefully you will find something works to prevent it from getting worse and also something that will help the pain. Thanks for the update!

Well, good news is that scoliosis that is as mild as yours, if in fact you do have scoliosis, does not usually progress much in adulthood. And as far as bone spurs, I would venture to say that most of us could probably find "bone spurs" somewhere in our back even if we aren't having pain. So, I'll just pray that this is a short lived muscle type pain that you don't have to worry about ever worsening! I'd love to talk to you sometime if you want about your back, though. Keep us updated.
