We have had true Texas weather the last couple of days. Friday and Saturday it was near 90 and today it is windy and cool in the low 70s. Isaac has been asking to play in the sprinkler for weeks now. I kept telling him it had to be really hot to do that. This past weekend he finally got his chance. Even though it was 90, as soon as the water touched Isaac he said.... "Momma, could you heat the water up?!" : )
Both Isaac and Julia had a great time running through the sprinkler. Of course Isaac would much rather make mud puddles and/or chase his sister around with the sprinkler. Boys!! Julia was a good sport and giggled as he sprayed her.
Later we ventured down to a playground in our neighborhood. By the time we got there we were all hot and tired. The kids were not even in the mood to play much. So we headed back early and decided to go get snow cones instead.
I am trying to take advantage of the "spring" like weather before it gets unbearably hot this summer. I will be in no mood to walk anywhere in the sizzling summer heat. I have already told the kids we will be going to the swimming pool almost everyday this summer. I will just wile away the summer days soaking my big pregnant belly in the cool waters of the pool!!
