Conversation between Sibilngs

Today we stopped by Party City and to our surprise they have redone the entire store. If you know me even a little bit, you know that I am a huge birthday nut!! I absolutely love throwing birthday parties. I was in birthday party heaven and had a hard time tearing myself away! But that is beside the point. Anywhoo.....

While there Julia found the princess aisle and immediately started obsessing over what she wanted for her next birthday. By the way, she decided on a princess party months ago. Her birthday is not until the end of April. So we've got a lot of time to obsess over princess parties!!

So later, in the van, Julia is still talking about all the wonderful, marvelous princess things she found. Isaac chimed in with, "When it is your princess party, I think I will have other plans"

Julia: "But I want to invite you to my party"

Isaac: "I think I will have other plans to play in my room"

Julia: "I am going to have a castle cake with princesses on it"

Isaac: "Well, I will just come out for the cake, but that's all. I draw the line!"

Oh so funny!!! As girlie as Julia is, Isaac is very much a BOY! He does not like anything pink or purple. And in his words,.... "Princesses are BLAH!" You can only imagine the heated debates that take place between siblings as Julia passionately defends her love of princesses.

This scene plays out more often than I like to admit. Notice Julia in her princess ballerina outfit (which she insists on wearing almost every day), with cowboy hat in place, demanding her right to the car. If that was a princess doll, I don't think Isaac would be holding his ground!
